Sarah Gibson, CRNP, is a Nurse Practitioner specialized in Orthopedics and Family Medicine. Sarah received her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham after completing her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Mississippi College.
Sarah was a student-athlete at Mississippi College, playing volleyball and shared her passion by coaching high school and club volleyball in her free time. Due to numerous sports-related ankle and shoulder injuries, Sarah developed her interest in orthopedics and sports medicine based on her personal journey and began working with other athletes in the physical therapy setting. Prior to becoming a Nurse Practitioner, she worked at UAB Highlands in Birmingham as an ICU Registered Nurse for 3 1/2 years.
Sarah is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as well as the Sigma Theta Tau and Golden Key International Honor Societies of Nursing. Sarah is trained to serve in Family Medicine, but is also dedicated to both orthopedics and sports medicine having trained closely under Dr. Lawrence Lemak, a nationally renowned orthopedic surgeon and thought leader in the field of sports medicine.
Sarah and her family, husband Chris and daughter Taylor, are residents of Chelsea, Alabama and members of Liberty Baptist Church. Outside of the clinic, Sarah enjoys spending time with family, crafting, traveling, and watching college football.
